Planetary Micro Mill PULVERISETTE 7 classic line
In the PULVERISETTE 7 classic line planetary micro mill, the grinding bowls rotate around their own axis, whilst orbiting around a central axis. Forces are exerted on the grinding balls and the sample, which are constantly changing direction and energy amount. Optimum grinding ball movements are obtained due to the design geometry and the transmission ratios.

The geometries and speed ratios allow optimum movement of the grinding balls. The grinding balls rotate against the inside wall of the bowl until under specific conditions they break away from this. After being thrown across the grinding bowl, the grinding material and the balls are impacted against the opposite wall. The energy thus created by impact is many times higher than for traditional ball mills. This results in excellent grinding performance and considerably shorter grinding times.

The PULVERISETTE 7 classic line is programmable for time, speed (up to 800rpm), pause time and reverse rotation. Sample volumes of up to 2 x 20ml can be milled within the 45ml grinding bowls, with smaller samples being milled in 12ml grinding bowls, which have a useful working capacity of 0.5-5ml.
